Write a “Literary Calaverita”

Write your poetry for the dead in our workshop "Literary Calaverita" or "Calaverita Literaria." 

You don't need to be an expert! 

The idea is to write a concise story/tale about the interaction between the Angel of Death and someone you want to dedicate the poem to. 

Writing poems to the dead is a fun and creative way to remember what they liked to do, say, or eat in life. 

At the end of the workshop, you will have written at least one "literary calaverita" on a designed sheet of paper alluding to the Day of the Dead. 

Choose who you want to write a literary calaverita for, whether for a living or dead person. A literary skull is a poem that describes, in a funny way, the characteristics of the person, qualities, defects, and hobbies. It also includes elements that the person likes: drinking, smoking, watching TV, playing games, talking,…
